Audubon Society of New York State
Become a Loon Ranger!
Loon Rangers are
volunteers who observe loons and report their sightings to the Audubon Society
of New York State, Inc. Some of our
volunteers live in southern or western New York and report locations and
numbers of migrating loons in the spring and fall, while others live in the
Adirondack region and record observations of loon breeding success during the
summer months. If you would like to
become a Loon Ranger, please e-mail Fred
Realbuto.
Annual
Loon Report
Each year, ASNY publishes a report summarizing the observations
of our ‘Loon Ranger’ volunteers, who monitor loon migratory and
breeding populations in New York State.
If you would like to be a Loon Ranger or would like to receive our
annual Loon Report, please contact 518-767-9051, x11 or e-mail
Fred Realbuto at [email protected]
and ask to be added to our mailing list.
